What's happening with Rainbow Studios?

I just read that THQ is renaming Rainbow Studios to Phoenix Digital Studios and that they'll be making games for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, the iPhone and iPad.

The U.S. publisher THQ will offer more games through digital distribution. Daarom moeten twee ontwikkelstudio's van de uitgever zich voortaan toeleggen op games voor Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, de iPhone en de iPad. Therefore, two development studios from the publisher now focus on games for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, the iPhone and iPad. Beide studio's krijgen een andere naam. Both studios have a different name.

and the American Rainbow Studios THQ is renamed Phoenix Digital Studios. In 2011 zouden de eerste digitaal te distribueren games van beide studio's op de markt moeten verschijnen. In 2011, the first digitally distribute games from both studios to appear on the market.

Recently I've been working on the site mostly. Revamping the news system and creating a tutorial system wich I hope to get online in a couple of weeks. I will make a new track and make two new tutorials for the tutorial system, displacement mapping and texture mapping in PS of wich the end result will be my new track.

Anyways, back on topic: Any of you RBW guys got anything to say about this?

Every point you just made in your first paragraph I laughed at, hard. The fact that your signature and your avatar are both advirtising a site that does tournaments for the game you are trying to make us all hate is also really confusing.

Bad thing in this situation guys is WE are the ones that are losing out here. Rainbow was the only company that EVER brought true motocross and supercross racing to the gaming world in its purest form. Now i fear we will never see anything that would do MCM2's online racing or MVA Unleashed emersion justice.
