SledHeads the game (unfinished)

This is a game that a company called ColdWood was working on for a little while. My uncle who worked for ColdWood before this project showed me many tricks to the file type they use. The file Format used is .NIF ,It is pretty simple for the modeling part. I have been able over the past 2 to 3 1/2 months to import my own snowmoble models I have been working over a while(you might have seen a few on Models in progress).

I also saw a mod on youtube that somebody else has done and figured out. He took the trees out of the game and buildings that were just in the way. He also imported his own Ski Doo Rev over the original snowmobile.

This game has oamost no limits to be quite honest. It uses .OBJ and .3ds Model format inside the .NIF. I have exported the whole map before but never did anything with it. I have also imported my own freestyle ramp(no skin) but sadly when imported it had no collision.Which really sucked. I am working on a new rider model also might get a few shots up in the meantime. I have also imported different snowmobile sound because original ones are crap.

Every single model is exportable by using this program.

Nif Tools/Nifskope is what I have been using. Its simple and complex in its own way,by using braches to develope the models ,skins and animation into the game.

Textures use .dds and .TGA.
Sound files are .mp3(there are other sound files but ignore them)

My purposal is to mod this game ,So some snowmobilers can have decent games too. Were sick of that Ski - Doo Challenge/X-team racing crap! I know alot of you guys like to play with games that are easier to mod and this one,once figured out is simple.
just thought we could make some freestyle,racing and freeride tracks. If alot of people are modding this game,id like to make a site towards it.

I have many mods and ill post them up for you guys to download in a later post. I have arctic cats, many polaris and a Yamaha Phazer type sled models.

can you make like a quick tutorial on how to use the nifskope to change the sleds?

Heres some links to the sleds. Just replce the files you will find in folders within the game.( By replace I mean just take out the original,put in safe place and put in mine). Hope you like them,they are all small tests. Also if you know how to get rid of the shinyness,plz tell me.

in which mapp do i put the bmp file?

There should only be a .TGA, A Sled.nif, and a preview pic. The .bmp is just a preview shot of it in game.

Just put the DicksSled.tga in the textures folder. Take out the original first and make sure you don't lose it,just incase you wanna use it again.

Then go to the GPS folder and take out the Sled.nif and put in mine. That should be it. I may release a sound mod I am working on also so stay tuned in....

shouldn't be,I downloaded them myself to make sure they worked. Try d-loading them again

Well I will try to get them up in the next half of the week. Im having internet problems on my pc with all my modsm,so im stuck with dragging files over and everything. But don't worry they will be up.
